Genesis Sports Complex

League Play- 2022

MISSION STATEMENT- The baseball program is created as a safe and competitive environment for the players, a turnkey operation for the coaches, enjoyable atmosphere and experience for the parents, all working towards the goal of building our next generation of leaders through sport and community service.

League Divisions: 10U, 12U, 13U and 14U. We will be taking up to 60 teams combined for all divisions. Each division must have minimum 6 teams for a division to be played. All teams will be able to send in registration on December 1, 2021. We will keep updating teams on the website as they register to play. This being our 3rd year we might fill up the 1st day or never reach capacity. Registration is time stamped for any confusion. Talk with Scott if you have any questions.

Safety and Insurance- “League Play” feels that player safety is the most important part of any sport. Each player is required to act in a way that promotes safety, not only for themselves, but their teammates and opponents as well. Each player participates in this program at his or her own risk. All coaches, fans, and parents are also entering the complex at their own risk. Genesis Sports Complex and all of its affiliates including Scott Martin are not liable for any injuries, foul balls or other damage occurring at the complex. It is the sole responsibility of the player or player’s parents to ensure that some type of medical insurance covers their player.

Competition- “League Play” is designed to be a competitive league for teams . The league is played on Monday through Thursday’s. We will start the last Monday of March and last game June 9, 2022. This will allow for teams to keep playing games through tournaments in June and July.

Coaches- Coaches will be expected to lead their team both on and off the field. “League Play” requires all coaches on the field and in the dugout to pass a background check. A 3rd party administers the background check online prior to the person or coach being on the field. Any coach on the field without a background check will result in your team’s forfeit of the game. This is very important, do not forget this part of coaching.

Communication- Each team is required to have at least 3 emails that are current and that are monitored on a timely basis. “League Play” communicates through email and it is imperative that communication during the season is done on a regular basis.

Weather- There are three ways to learn about rain delays or cancellations. 1st- Our website will have information on the site when inclement weather is effecting play and 2nd Coaches, Parents and fans can “Like” us on Facebook and 3rd the coaches on record will receive an email if we cancel any games. We do not make decision until 4pm of game day. We usually do not get rained out but we do however get “lightning out” We are playing on turf so expect most games to be played but the lightning will be a big factor.

League Championship- “League Play” will crown league champions for the 2022 season. 1st place teams in each “single” division will receive costume T-shirts designed by their own team. “League Play” championship will be decided by the following: 1) Win/loss percentage 2) Head to head record 3) total runs allowed 4) Total runs scored 5) Coin toss. It is the responsibility of both teams to turn in their scores on a game by game basis. The league championship will be decided on June 15th, 2022(however we may extend to June 25th if necessary) regardless of the amount of games played. You also must keep a “Gamechanger” of the game. www.gc.com this is a FREE service that will allow you to post scores.

Registration and Payment- Coaches/Teams register full teams with a minimum of 11 players. Team registration is a first come, first served basis. No spots will be held. A team is fully registered and locked in when 11 players are paid and registration is complete (including Birth Certificate). The cost for all divisions is $195.00 for each player. If you need help with payment plan for an individual you can contact Scott Martin and he will help if possible.

Schedule and Times- The games will be played on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s. Your team will play one game to two games per week until June 9th, 2022. League starts last Monday of March and runs until June 9th (however we may extend to June 25th if necessary). If we lose any games we will make up the games on Sunday Nights. The league guarantees 12 games. The games times will be 6pm and 7:45PM. Some weeks your team might play one game and some weeks your team will play 2 games. 12 games is for league Championship. If your team would like more games please contact Scott and we can add additional games at no charge.

Roster- Every coach must supply a team roster to the league with names and numbers of each player. Each team roster will be available to all coaches in their respective division. Any additions to the roster that player is required to pay the same fee regardless of when the player joins the team. Any player that is found on the field playing without paying full registration will result in team being removed from the league. Coaches just can’t pick up a couple players to play one week.

Refunds- There will be no refunds on uniforms, practice times or anything other than registration fees. There will be no exceptions or alterations to the policy. Understand that when you pay registration fees you are part of a “Team” and refunds not only effect the team they effect the league. Just make sure when you pay you are committed to the team and league.
